The Daily Mail report that Gerrard won’t be spending his first day as Rangers manager in Glasgow, instead taking the opportunity to observe players in the south of France.
The paper says he has been spotted at matches involving Portugal, Japan and Turkey already.

Next on the agenda for the new Rangers manager will be sorting out the finer details of their pre-season tour of Spain later this month, with a view to preparing for vital UEFA Europa League qualifiers early next month.
